THE EUROPEAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL INFO-LETTER (Euccril)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS IN EUROPEAN ICCRS SUBCOMMITTEE

An important moment during the European Gathering in Czestochowa was the thanksgiving to Nikol Balbacchino, who finished his last term as member of the ICCRS-council. As member of the Council he was also member and chairperson of the European ICCRS Subcommittee. Oreste Presare gave thanks to him for all he did for ICCRS in many years. When he expressed the wish that Nikol should continue his ministry as preacher and teacher a loud and long applause came from the whole audience.

The European ICCRS Subcommittee will be able to choose a new chairperson in the meeting in Budapest, March 27-30th, 2003 in Budapest. Charles Whitehead has been asked to be chairperson in the time between. And he accepted.

Charles entered the sub-committee in the meeting of November 2001. In principle all European members of the ICCRS-council are members of the European-subcommittee. Three others are chosen by the national representatives (Kim, Darek and Kees). Charles is from Europe and financial adviser in the ICCRS Council. We were very happy to have Charles with us in the committee.

MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN ICCRS-SUBCOMMITTEE ON THE MOMENT

Chosen by the ICCRS-council:

a. Representing a region of Europe:
Michael Slavik (Czech Republic),
Michelle Moran (England)
Matteo Calisi (Italy)

b. other European ICCRS-councilmembers:
Cathy Brenti (France) - representing in the Council the communities
Charles Whitehead (England) - financial advisor in the Council

Chosen by the European National Representatives-meeting in Rimini, April 2000 to be members till March 2003 when new elections are in Budapest:

Darek Jeziorny (Poland)
Kim Catherine-Marie Kollins (Germany)
Kees Slijkerman (The Netherlands)

The names of the countries are to show where they are living. The members do not represent that countries.

As you can see we look for three candidates to elect or to re-elect next March. The decision is up the national representatives, but everybody can pray for it and put suggestions to the secretary
(keesslij@ision.nl) or chairperson (WHITEHEADChas@aol.com) of the committee. Maybe we even need more workers on the European level. That can be discussed too in Budapest.

One Euccril-reader wrote the question: Is ICCRS in touch with the gifted people in the Charismatic movement world-wide? The answers is: ICCRS is in touch with many of them, but ICCRS can use every good suggestion to find the good future Council-members and Subcommittee-members.
Let pray for it together.

Kees Slijkerman, secretary
