Hans-Peter of CCR-Austria did sent us this news, specially to invite German-speaking people: "We are busy to organise a National Congress in a new form. It is called "Frei - Zeit mit Jesus" (a free time with Jesus) In German "Freizeit" means leisure time, but written as "Frei - Zeit" we want to point at a meaning of "take a free time with Jesus".

Thousands of Christians yearly meet at events called "Spring" in Germany or "Celebrate" in England. There is a program for adults, for teenagers and children too. Often 50% and more of the participants are young people.

We want to attract to this "Frei-zeit mit Jesus" those who attend Christian conferences of a usual form but also newcomers interested in a more holiday - like week offering interesting seminars and workshops with many creative elements of mime, music and so on. Every morning there will be a key address of a main speaker, on four days at the same time mass and for non - catholics morning prayers. That underlines that this event will be a catholic conference but fully open to non - catholics.

There will be a special program for teenies and children of different age groups with a lot of elements of sports and Christian music. Wednesday will be a real leasure time, a day free from every program exept concerts in the evening.

On all other days there are also evening programs with a broad range including an ecumenical evening, a meeting with healing prayers, an introduction to the Alpha course etc. 

The main speakers at the morning key addresses to Jeremiah 29, 11b (... thoughts of peace and not of evil....) and John 14, 6a (I am the way....) and for the afternoon seminars will be Charles and Sue Whitehead, Teo van der Weele (Netherlands), Astrid Eichler (Germany), James Parker (England) and Krysztof Najdowski (Poland). 75 seminars and workshops will deal with family life, healing, ethics and economy, evangelisation....The full program is shown at the homepage www.erneuerung.at - have a look and see us at Schladming from August 25th to August 31st and order a program or book via internet.
