Pentecost novena

Salvatore Martinez, National co-ordinator of Rinovamento nello Spiritus, did send us this information and invitation:

"At the conclusion of the Pentecost Novena there is an extraordinary chance to be together with Peter, in invoking a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit

• The city of Rome - like the city of Jerusalem

• At the Basilica - as in the Upper Room …

• At Saint Peter’s - as in the square, for Pentecost

Join with us as we celebrate “Solemn Vespers of Pentecost with the Pope”

Saturday May 29th 2004 at St. Peter’s:

• 4 pm Welcoming

• 5 pm Preparation for the event with songs and prayer worship led by the Renewal in the Holy Spirit

• from 6pm to 7pm Solemn Vespers

Don’t miss it … The Spirit’s hour has come!"

Pope John Paul II wrote: "Next Saturday, on the eve of the Solemn Feastday of Pentecost, at 6pm, I will preside over the solemn celebration of Vespers. I invite all the faithful, and particularly the members of the Renewal in the Holy Spirit, to participate in this prayer vigil, to invoke upon ourselves and upon the entire Church, an abundant outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit."

EUROPE

Like last year, the European sub-committee of ICCRS invited the National Service Committees, head-contacts and correspondents to foster the prayer of the Pentecost-novena.

BOSNA I HERZEGOVINA

"With regard to European 9 day project-Ascension to Pentecost-together we will gladly join.
I would like to inform you that our Community from Mostar has organised continuing chains of prayers, every day, 24 hours, we pray for our town, for acceptance of Catholic Charismatic renewal in Mostar and BiH, for unity of Church in Hercegovina, in the world, for the sic, etc.
Very often we organise nights with adoration from 7 AM till 7 PM because sisters are kindly giving us their Chapel which is open only the day."

Lets join together in every country and in Rome with the pope, praying for three major intentions for Europe: Renewal of the Church, Unity of Christianity and the Renewal of European Society (evangelization and social).
