NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF CCR IN POLAND
- with 180.000 participants one day in Czestochowa -

"A short information about our National Conference

that took place at Jasna Gora (Czestochowa), 14-15th May 2004.

The first day was traditionally for leaders (about 1350 people present) of our groups.

During the first part we were thinking what kind of testimony could be given by the Christian community today (two teachings done by Fr. Roman Pindel and Cathy and Claude Brenti). Afterwards there was an adoration led by the musicians group "Strong in the Spirit" (Mocni w Duchu), that you know from the European Leaders and Intercessors Conference (2002). After lunch the whole group was divided into 7 smaller groups. Some kind of workshop took place. They focused on the most important places to which the Charismatic Renewal in Poland is called today (intercession, family, youth, social problems - mainly unemployment, community life, evangelisation, mass media). We finished with the Eucharist celebrated by Bp. Bronislaw Dembowski with the homily by Fr. Andrzej Grefkowicz.

The second day was an open one. About 180 thousand people came (the third largest meeting in our history). Jesus' words "You are the light of the world" were the main idea of that day. We had a very good teaching of Fr. Miroslaw Cholewa and very impressive testimony of a person who was involved on the top of the world-wide Techno-Music business. It showed on what level the spiritual warfare takes place (the whole business: music, drugs, lasers, multimedial tools is led by the satanists). The testimony was followed by the prayer led by Fr. Waldemar Grzyb. After the break we had teaching by Cathy and Claude, some testimonies that showed what happened during the former prayer, and the Eucharist (the homily of Bishop Piotr Libera, the Secretary for the Polish Episcopate).

The weather was awful: rain and low temperature. But people remained till the end in joy (you can see some pictures on our website:  www.odnowa.opoka.org.pl )."
